MAINTAINING THE
Wildcat Edge
Hello Chisago Lakes Community:
Following an extensive facility assessment and planning process, the School Board took action to seek community approval of a bond (or facilities) referendum question on May 13, 2025.
For almost a year, we have been pouring a lot of time and energy into evaluating our facilities and developing a plan to address our greatest needs for the future. Through community surveys, presentations, and advisory groups — as well as feedback from our staff, families, and students — we arrived at a plan that will ensure our district maintains its Wildcat Edge, by providing safe, efficient and modern learning environments that support students and curriculums.
If approved by voters, the $63,710,000 bond referendum, will address the greatest facility needs in our district, which we cannot address within our annual budget, and only become more costly to address in the future.
From now until May 13, the District will be providing opportunities for you to learn more about Chisago Lake's facility needs. We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to understand how the District worked with staff, students and the community to prioritize needs and define solutions, as well as this investment’s impact on property taxes.
